The role available is for a Housekeeper who is responsible for performing various cleaning assignments within the hotel premises. This includes guest rooms, hallways, elevators, and public service areas. The position entails a comprehensive range of duties that ensure every corner of the hotel is immaculate and welcoming. As a Housekeeper, the individual will vacuum carpets, clean bathrooms, polish windows and mirrors, deliver fresh linens, and manage the upkeep of both guest rooms and public areas. The role also involves addressing guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, demonstrating a commitment to guest comfort and satisfaction. The Housekeeper is expected to maintain a positive image of the hotel, adhere strictly to company policies, and observe all safety protocols. The work environment is dynamic, with physical demands such as walking, standing, lifting, and fine finger manipulation. The position requires reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, contributing directly to the hotel's reputation for excellence. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Floor Supervisor, offering an opportunity to join a reputable hotel focused on quality service and guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods
Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs
Fine finger manipulation skills
Willingness to work indoors and outdoors during special events
Reliable and regular attendance
Ability to perform work safely following established safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in the English language
Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial services preferred
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Ability to follow safety protocols and hotel policies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good physical condition to meet the demands of the job

Job Duties

Vacuum hallways, guest rooms, and carpet edges
Clean and high dust guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, elevator lobbies, elevator cabs and service areas
Polish windows, mirrors, and glass inside and outside of guest room and elevator foyer, as assigned
Turn and spray mattresses as needed, when assigned
Load and deliver fresh linens, and cleaning and guest room supplies to floor service areas, maintain par stock levels
Inspect and clean all public area ash trays and replenish sand in urns
Pick up, wash, wrap and deliver guest room tumblers to respective floor linen closets
Remove and replace draperies and/or curtains for dry cleaning as needed, and as assigned
Remove, store, and replace guest room furniture and supplies, as directed
Sort/separate soiled linens and tray items
Perform emergency mopping and wet vacuuming work as may be required from time to time
Perform all duties in a quiet and orderly manner, always bearing in mind the sleep, comfort, and satisfaction of all guests
Retrieve and separate all dirty linen
Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner
Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests
Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate
Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations
Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike
Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager
Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same
Regular predictable attendance is required
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
