As a Houseperson - Events, you will work closely with multiple departments, including Banquets, Sales & Events, and Operations, contributing to flawless event execution in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment. Your responsibilities will involve setting up tables, chairs, linens, staging, and necessary equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of event spaces, responding promptly to last-minute changes, and providing ongoing support throughout events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior luxury hospitality experience preferred
  • Physical capability to lift and move heavy items
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Professional and polished interaction with guests and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and last-minute requests
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Houseperson, Banquet Setup, or in a related role within a luxury or full-service hotel preferred
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport tables, chairs, staging, and equipment
  • Strong physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow complex setup diagrams
  • Excellent teamwork skills for collaborating with multiple departments
  • Professional demeanor with guest-centric focus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs

Job Duties

  • Set up banquet and meeting spaces according to detailed diagrams and guest specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout event spaces
  • Break down event setups efficiently after events conclude
  • Respond to last-minute changes in event setup or requirements
  • Support banquet operations during events by assisting with additional setup and service needs
  • Collaborate with Banquets, Sales & Events, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Transport and arrange furniture, staging, linens, and equipment as needed
