The role of Houseperson at Hilton plays a crucial part in the hospitality guest experience by maintaining cleanliness and order in designated public areas of the hotel. This position is not merely about housekeeping; it is about spreading warmth and light through excellent service and a welcoming environment. Housepersons ensure that areas like restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces remain spotless through daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming, mopping floors, washing windows, and trash removal. Moreover, the role encompasses guest interaction by warmly greeting visitors, delivering requested items, and assisting room attendants as needed to enhance the overall guest satisfaction.
In addition to routine cleaning duties, the Houseperson manages supplies by stocking and organizing supply rooms for efficient housekeeping operations. The role also involves undertaking special projects like deep cleaning tasks, which include flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Another important aspect of this position is supporting property maintenance by identifying and reporting any necessary repairs or maintenance issues promptly, ensuring that the property remains well-kept and safe for all guests and staff.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in housekeeping or similar roles preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and handle equipment
- Availability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Positive attitude and willingness to deliver excellent guest service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is an advantage
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is beneficial
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights
Job Duties
- Keep public areas spotless including restrooms hallways stairwells elevators offices and event spaces by performing daily cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture vacuuming and mopping floors washing windows and emptying trash
- Greet guests warmly deliver requested items and assist with room cleaning as needed
- Stock and organize supply rooms to support efficient housekeeping operations
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses moving furniture and waxing floors
- Identify and report any repair needs or maintenance deficiencies to ensure a well-kept property
