The Houseperson position at Club Wyndham Smokies Lodge Resort plays a crucial supporting role within the housekeeping team. This full-time role focuses on aiding housekeepers by efficiently preparing guest units for cleaning upon departure while maintaining the company’s high standards of quality and cleanliness. Responsibilities include managing linen duties such as receiving, sorting, folding, and collecting soiled linens, and organizing and maintaining department storage areas to ensure cleanliness and safety according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and the Global Harmonized System for chemicals (GHS). The houseperson also assists with keeping the resort’s environment clean by removing trash, delivering linen and amenities, and providing requested items like irons and coffee to guest units. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a professional, positive attitude. A valid driver’s license is also needed.
