The role available is at TradeWinds Island Resorts, part of the Highgate Hotels family, located in the idyllic setting of St. Pete Beach along the Gulf Coast. This resort is a celebrated destination featuring two interconnected resorts that offer guests an idyllic tropical beachfront experience with exquisite dining, relaxing bars, and an abundance of leisure activities. The House Attendant position is crucial in maintaining the pristine condition and comfort of the resort’s accommodations and public spaces. This full-time role requires a dedicated and service-oriented individual responsible for cleaning and maintaining all assigned areas such as lobbies, guest corridors, and guestrooms when necessary. The House Attendant plays a key role in ensuring linens are collected, cleaned, and supplied efficiently, contributing to the overall guest experience. Other responsibilities include the disposal of trash and recyclables, polishing furniture and fixtures, and assisting with laundry operations. The role demands physical stamina and a proactive approach to property upkeep and guest service. Additionally, the House Attendant must adhere to safety policies, uphold company standards, and report maintenance issues promptly. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds frequently, and/or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
  • Friendly and service-oriented manner

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and 50 pounds frequently

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain lobbies, guest corridors, and assigned areas of the property
  • Collect dirty linen from Room Attendant carts and deliver laundry for cleaning
  • Supply clean linen to Room Attendants
  • Clean guestrooms as needed
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recycled materials throughout the hotel
  • Sweep and vacuum carpets
  • Polish furniture and fixtures
  • Make sofa beds upon guest requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and re-stock storage rooms with linens and supplies
  • Assist in laundry room with washing, drying, folding, ironing, and stocking shelves of linen
  • Assist in property and guest room deep cleaning processes and furniture arrangement
  • Adhere to company Lost and Found policy and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
  • Report maintenance issues to Executive Housekeeper by completing work orders
  • Perform duties assigned by Executive Housekeeper or Hotel Management Staff, including Room Attendant, Laundry Attendant, or Public Areas Attendant duties
  • Work in a safe and conscientious manner adhering to all safety policies
  • Conduct self in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest encounters
