The Hollywood Roosevelt is an iconic full-service lifestyle hotel situated on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Established in 1927 during the Golden Era, this legendary hotel has played host to some of the most famous stars in history, including Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, and Clark Gable. With its rich Hollywood heritage and storied past, the Hollywood Roosevelt offers guests a unique blend of classic Hollywood glamour and modern comfort, providing travelers with an authentic Hollywood experience that honors its historic legacy. The hotel’s timeless charm combined with contemporary amenities creates a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for visitors from around the world.

The position of Houseperson at The Hollywood Roosevelt is pivotal in supporting the Housekeeping department and ensuring the hotel’s public areas remain immaculate and inviting. The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of various common spaces, such as hallways, staircases, elevators, lobbies, restrooms, entrance doors, and outdoor areas. This role demands a strong commitment to service excellence and attention to detail, as the Houseperson helps enhance the overall guest experience by creating a pristine environment that reflects the hotel’s high standards.

Housepersons perform a wide array of duties including vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors, walls, and ceilings. They are also responsible for stripping rooms to prepare them for housekeeping and promptly responding to guest and departmental requests. Special cleaning projects such as deep cleaning hallways, light fixtures, baseboards, carpets, windows, and door frames are integral to maintaining the hotel’s cleanliness over time. Furthermore, the role involves taking care of equipment maintenance, including vacuums and filters, ensuring all tools are always ready for use. Additional tasks, such as moving furniture, hanging drapes, rolling carpets, and assisting other teams as needed, require the Houseperson to be both versatile and cooperative.

The ideal candidate for this role is proactive, dependable, and capable of inspiring teamwork and group commitment. This individual should be adept at following and enforcing established policies and procedures, exercising good judgment, prioritizing multiple tasks effectively, and adapting to changes with ease. A keen awareness of safety and security is essential, along with professional conduct and a positive attitude that fosters a productive work environment. Communication skills are also important, as the Houseperson must interact courteously with guests, co-workers, and supervisors, promptly addressing any service concerns.

Joining The Hollywood Roosevelt as a Houseperson means becoming part of a high-performing, dynamic team within an iconic venue rich in Hollywood history. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally in the hospitality industry while contributing to memorable guest experiences.
