Job Description

The hiring establishment is a distinguished hotel committed to creating a unique and exciting atmosphere along with an exceptional guest experience. This hotel prides itself on consistently delivering friendly service combined with the highest quality products and value to every customer on every occasion. Known for its dedication to customer satisfaction and operational excellence, the hotel operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, striving to maintain a vibrant and welcoming environment for guests from diverse backgrounds and preferences. As one of the key members of their hospitality team, the Houseperson plays a vital role in upholding these high standards through meticulous attention to cleanliness, organization, and timely service throughout the hotel's premises.

The Houseperson position is pivotal within the hotel's operational framework, focusing on the support of housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure an immaculate and orderly atmosphere for guests and staff alike. This full-time role involves a variety of responsibilities ranging from delivering linens and clean glassware to housekeeping staff, maintaining cleanliness in public areas, vending zones, and hallways, managing guest requests with efficiency, and assisting in the upkeep of laundry services. The role requires the individual to be adept in observing safety protocols and responding promptly to operational needs that arise during the business cycle. The Houseperson is expected to interact effectively with both guests and associates, carrying out tasks that contribute directly to enhancing the guest experience and supporting team cohesion.

Given the hotel's 24/7 operational nature, flexibility with shifts and working hours is essential, with the occasional need to adapt schedules based on business demands or weather conditions. Additionally, physical endurance and the ability to perform a range of manual duties - including lifting weights exceeding 50 pounds on occasion - are critical aspects of the job. The Houseperson will also be responsible for spot-cleaning, polishing elevator brass plates, and ensuring safe storage practices, among other vital tasks. The role demands attentiveness to safety documentation and the capacity to maintain logs and reports as required. Altogether, the Houseperson contributes significantly to maintaining the hotel's high standards in cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction, embodying the establishment's commitment to excellence and care for its guests and associates.
