The role being offered is a Houseperson position, ideal for individuals passionate about starting or advancing their career in the hospitality industry. This entry-level position supports hotel operations by ensuring that interior and exterior corridors and public areas are meticulously cleaned and maintained according to stringent housekeeping procedures and brand standards. The Houseperson acts as a vital team member, aiding housekeeping and maintenance staff, managing linen and cleaning supply inventory, and addressing guest service concerns promptly and effectively. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and delivering exceptional service to guests. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • previous experience in housekeeping or laundry preferred
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently
  • availability to work nights weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • good communication skills in English
  • willingness to follow company policies and procedures
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • physical capability to perform tasks including crouching kneeling and climbing
  • consistent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED preferred
  • previous laundry experience preferred
  • knowledge of housekeeping laundry and maintenance operations and procedures
  • knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
  • general knowledge of equipment such as vacuums commercial washers and dryers
  • able to understand and speak some of the English language
  • able to prioritize work assignments
  • demonstrate genuine care for guests and employees
  • able to work in fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Empty all trash receptacles and remove all linens
  • clean all public areas in accordance with brand standards and management including hallways elevators service areas stairways
  • aid housekeepers and maintenance team as needed
  • stock linen and supply closets to ensure par inventories
  • report any missing found property damage or mechanical problems to management
  • respond to guest service issues in a timely friendly and efficient manner
  • report guest issues and complaints to management or supervisor in a timely manner
  • complete deep cleaning or preventative maintenance as assigned
  • follow company policies and procedures
  • assist in all departments as needed
  • other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
