Job Description

Hilton is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for delivering exceptional experiences to guests through its wide portfolio of world-class hotel brands. With a presence spanning numerous countries and serving over 3 billion guests worldwide, Hilton remains true to its founding vision of filling the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality. The company is not only focused on providing outstanding service to its guests but also prides itself on cultivating an award-winning workplace culture. Hilton has been repeatedly honored on the World’s Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune, reflecting its commitment to its Team Members' growth, wellbeing, and success.

The role of a Houseperson at Hilton is essential in ensuring that every guest’s experience is memorable through maintaining cleanliness and comfort in various hotel areas. As a Houseperson, you are more than someone who cleans; you are a valued team player whose efforts brighten guests’ days and make their stays exceptional. Your primary responsibility includes upholding the highest standards of cleanliness in public spaces such as restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event venues. This involves performing daily tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, washing windows, and emptying trash receptacles.

In addition to maintaining physical spaces, a Houseperson provides direct guest support by greeting guests warmly, delivering requested items, and assisting with room cleaning as needed. Managing and organizing supply rooms ensures housekeeping operations run efficiently and smoothly. The role also encompasses undertaking special projects like deep cleaning tasks, including flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors to maintain the property's overall upkeep. A key part of the job is to help identify and report any maintenance or repair issues, ensuring Hilton properties continue to meet the highest standards of appearance and safety.

Hilton values its core principles—Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, and a focus on the Now—which shape the way its team members work and interact both with guests and each other. These values define what it takes to succeed and thrive in the Houseperson position, fostering an environment where teamwork and accountability are paramount. Hilton is dedicated to supporting its Team Members beyond the workplace by offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes incredible travel perks through the Go Hilton program, employee stock purchase options for financial growth, paid parental leave, personalized caregiving support, and access to mental health resources.

Additionally, Hilton provides generous paid time off and a variety of health and welfare benefits designed to keep employees and their families healthy. The company also prioritizes financial security through retirement savings plans. Joining Hilton means becoming part of a supportive, nurturing environment that not only values exceptional hospitality but also invests deeply in the wellbeing and future of its Team Members. Whether starting your career or advancing it, Hilton offers a career pathway marked by growth, opportunity, and an unparalleled supportive culture where you can make a lasting impact every day.
