The Room Attendant role is a crucial position within IHG Hotels & Resorts' housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service to ensure each visitor enjoys a truly memorable stay. This position is non-exempt and offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.75. As a Room Attendant, you will play an essential role in upholding IHG's reputation for quality and excellence by attentively preparing guest rooms, addressing guest needs, and supporting the housekeeping operations through detailed cleaning and maintenance activities.

Your daily responsibilities will include ensuring every guest room meets exacting cleanliness standards, assisting guests with their requests, and working closely with supervisors to report any issues or progress. You will be involved in monitoring supplies to minimize waste and participating in deep cleaning projects that uphold the hotel's sanitary standards. The role demands strong physical fitness, as you will be on your feet for long periods and occasionally responsible for lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility in shift scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is also a key part of the job.

Job Requirements

  • Physical fitness to perform a physically demanding role
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds or push/pull heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks required in cleaning

Job Duties

  • Making sure every single room is at its absolute best for our guests
  • Helping our guests in any way you can – whether they've forgotten their toothbrush or just need to find the elevator
  • Keeping your supervisor in the loop by advising them of any progress or problems
  • Monitoring and controlling supplies to minimise waste
  • Doing your best to reunite guests with any lost or misplaced items
  • Regularly assisting with deep clean projects
