Job Requirements

High school education
Prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred

Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Most tasks are performed in a team environment
There is minimal direct supervision
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties

Job Duties

Obtain a room status report from the housekeeping supervisor to begin stripping the rooms that have checked out
Begin removing linens and trash from checked out rooms before housekeeper enters the room to clean it
Empty housekeeper’s carts of all soiled linen and trash
Clean and remove spots/marks from walls and doors on each floor
Vacuum, sweep and mop hallways, stairways, vending areas and foyers
Stock linen carts with amenities and supplies for room attendants- may include taking supplies directly to room
Make sure all closets and linen chutes are locked at all times
Put away any housekeeping amenity and supply orders that have arrived
Vacuum and mop stairwells, be sure to check them for trash several times during your shift
Other duties and responsibilities as may be designated
