As a Houseperson at Hilton Garden Inn Steele Creek, you will play a crucial role in supporting the housekeeping team to ensure exceptional cleanliness and maintenance of hotel common areas, public spaces, and back-of-house sections. This position demands a hardworking and detail-oriented individual who can maintain a high level of cleanliness in high-traffic areas, which directly impacts guest satisfaction and the overall appearance of the hotel. The role involves various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in hallways, stairwells, and public spaces. You will also be responsible for maintaining the organization of housekeeping carts and storage areas, supporting the replenishment of cleaning supplies, and assisting with guest room preparation such as making beds and replenishing linens. Effective communication skills are essential as you will be responding to guest requests and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Working as part of a team, you will assist with inventory management, ensure safety and security protocols are followed, and help foster a clean, safe environment for both guests and staff. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays, and physical stamina to perform tasks involving standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in similar role preferred but not required
- Ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor areas
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting in hallways, stairwells, and public spaces
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and housekeeping carts
- Clean and maintain hotel amenities such as lobby areas, restrooms, and fitness centers
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report shortages to the supervisor
- Assist housekeepers in preparing guest rooms including making beds and replenishing linens
- Collect dirty linens and deliver clean ones to laundry area
- Handle guest requests promptly and effectively
- Report maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms
- Respond to housekeeping team requests for supplies, linens, and equipment
- Assist with removal of trash, dirty linens, and debris from floors and hallways
- Help maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and inform supervisor of shortages
- Collaborate with team to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Follow hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment
- Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or emergencies
- Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items
