The role of AM Houseperson and Shuttle Driver at the Courtyard Rochester Downtown is an essential frontline position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall guest experience within the hotel's public spaces and guest rooms. This is a full-time position that requires availability for morning shifts and weekends, reflecting the operational needs of the hospitality industry where guest satisfaction is paramount around the clock. In this role, the houseperson plays a vital supporting role to the housekeeping team by cleaning and maintaining all public areas including hallways, lobbies, and elevators, assisting with guest room turnover by delivering linens, towels, and other supplies, and promptly managing trash and dirty linens. Additionally, responding to guest requests and concerns in a timely and courteous manner is critical in fostering a welcoming atmosphere. The houseperson is also responsible for reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate departments to ensure that the hotel environment remains safe and comfortable. Job Requirements

- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Clean driver’s license to drive shuttle

Job Duties
- Clean and maintain hotel public areas including hallways, lobbies, and elevators
- Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning and maintaining guest rooms
- Deliver linens, towels, and other supplies to guest rooms as needed
- Remove trash and dirty linens from guest rooms
- Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures including safety and security protocols
