The Houseperson (Housekeeping Aide) role at Aqua Aston Hospitality is essential in ensuring that guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay. This hourly position offers a competitive pay rate of $24.04 and plays a key part in supporting the overall guest experience by maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, offices, and public spaces. Responsibilities include cleaning and folding laundry, stocking housekeeping supplies, delivering guest-requested items, and assisting with after-hours housekeeping needs. The Houseperson helps maintain the high standards that AAH upholds in guest service and resort presentation. This role is physically demanding and requires standing, bending, lifting, and carrying, often involving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • availability to work various shifts holidays and both weekend days
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees perform bending twisting pulling and stooping
  • ability to stand sit or walk for an extended period of time
  • ability to lift carry push pull items that weigh up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required
  • ability to follow instructions and comply with company safety policies
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • physical stamina and ability to handle manual labor tasks

Job Duties

  • cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of designated areas including guest rooms offices and storage rooms
  • cleaning and folding laundry for resort rooms fitness club and spa
  • delivering guest-requested items such as additional linens hair dryers kitchen items stocked for housekeeping additional bedding or childcare items
  • receiving delivery of clean linen and preparing soiled linen for pick up by the laundry company
  • ensuring the satisfaction of after-hours housekeeping services requested by resort guests room touch-ups and guest-requested items
  • welcoming and greeting guests and anticipating and addressing their needs
  • interacting with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly
