Spanning over 160 acres of once vegetative ranch land, the club boasts an 18-hole golf course designed by the legendary Joe Finger, recognized for its strategic layout and difficulty, making it the most distinctive golf course in South Texas. The club caters to approximately 800 families and offers an extensive range of recreational and dining experiences, including a driving range, eight tennis courts, a sports court, four banquet halls, a fitness center, and three restaurants. Laredo Country Club prides itself on providing "Our Family's Second Home," fostering a welcoming atmosphere where members and guests can enjoy exceptional sport, dining, and social activities.
The club’s mission is to deliver the premier private club experience in Laredo by promoting a family-oriented social setting dedicated to exceptional sport, dining, social, and recreational opportunities. Their vision reinforces this commitment, emphasizing the club as a second home for families, staff, and members alike. In line with these values, the club is actively developing a master plan aimed at major upgrades to both the clubhouse and golf course, ensuring that it continues to meet the evolving needs and expectations of its members.
The Houseman / Banquet Setup Attendant position plays a vital role in supporting the Banquets Team at Laredo Country Club. The club is seeking candidates with outgoing and friendly personalities who enjoy working in a dynamic social environment. The role primarily involves setting up and tearing down tables and chairs for a variety of group events such as holiday buffets, weddings, corporate functions, family reunions, and sports tournaments throughout the club’s diverse property. Attention to detail is paramount, as attendants must arrange linens and skirting according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) requirements and assist with setting up and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment. This position occasionally provides beverages and snacks to meeting rooms and may help with serving duties when necessary.
Success in this role requires a strong focus on the member and colleague experience, a drive for results, the ability to foster teamwork, and a continuous commitment to improvement. The Houseman / Banquet Setup Attendant ensures all meeting and event spaces are flawlessly prepared to create memorable experiences for members, families, and guests. The candidate must be detail-oriented, capable of building strong relationships with coworkers and members, and willing to share crucial information to maintain high standards of service. This role is essential in upholding the club’s reputation for excellent service and hospitality while supporting the overall team environment.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a family-oriented, prestigious club where dedication is rewarded. Laredo Country Club offers a supportive atmosphere with performance bonuses, paid vacation and sick leave, uniforms, and the chance to grow within a vibrant community. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online or via email, attaching their resume and references, as the club participates in the E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility in the United States.
