We are currently seeking a Part-Time Wet Deck Associate to join our Food and Beverage team at our Hollywood location. This Non-Management position pays $31.37 per hour and involves a variety of duties essential to maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and efficient operation of the designated areas. This role is on-call and requires flexibility to respond to the needs of the restaurant and hotel in providing optimal guest service. The Wet Deck Associate is charged with final breakdown duties such as cleaning rooms and properly storing equipment, as well as organizing, stocking, and maintaining work areas throughout the day.

Additional responsibilities include supervising and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of service stations and assigned areas, managing laundry tasks such as transporting soiled linens for cleaning and replenishing clean linens on shelves, and assisting other departments as necessary. The position emphasizes strict adherence to Marriott International’s safety policies, reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards, and participating in required safety training and certifications. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to handle objects of varying weights according to established procedures, including lifting and moving items under 50 lbs independently and heavier items with help. Strong communication skills and professional demeanor are required to interact with guests and team members effectively.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No previous related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • No licenses or certifications required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds independently and assisting with heavier weights
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk during entire shifts
  • Ability to read and verify information
  • Ability to reach above head and below knees, bend, twist, and climb stairs
  • Ability to communicate using clear and professional language
  • Flexibility to work on call and part-time schedule

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent general educational development (GED)

Job Duties

  • Complete final breakdown duties including cleaning rooms and storing equipment
  • Complete closing tasks such as storing reusable merchandise, locking doors, and sorting goods
  • Organize, stock, and maintain work areas
  • Supervise and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of assigned service stations and areas
  • Transport dirty laundry to cleaning areas and restock clean linens
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day using a consistent cleaning procedure
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure optimal guest service
