We are currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Room Attendant to join our team at SpringHill Suites Memphis Downtown. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness. This position is integral to delivering the exceptional guest experience that defines our brand, as cleanliness is a key factor in guest satisfaction.
As a Housekeeping/Room Attendant, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including making beds, replenishing room amenities, and tidying rooms to meet established procedures and quality standards. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly, ensuring that any concerns are addressed quickly to maintain guest comfort and safety. Beyond guest rooms, you will uphold cleanliness in public spaces such as corridors, the lobby, and back-of-house areas when necessary.
Interaction with guests is an important component of this role, as you will provide courteous and attentive service, responding politely to guest requests and inquiries. Job Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods
- ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects
- physical stamina to perform tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role within the hospitality industry preferred but not mandatory

Job Duties
- Clean and tidy guest rooms according to established procedures and standards, including making beds and replenishing amenities
- report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor

- assist in maintaining cleanliness in back-of-house areas as required
- provide courteous and attentive service to guests, responding promptly to requests and inquiries
