Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor and play an integral role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment within our facility. Our establishment is a well-respected organization committed to delivering exceptional environmental services that directly impact the comfort and satisfaction of residents, visitors, and staff alike. As a vital part of our operational leadership, this role involves oversight of housekeeping and laundry functions to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control are consistently met. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative work environment where leadership is exercised with purpose and pride, emphasizing efficiency, organization, and compassion.
Our company values dependability and organization, holding these traits as essential qualities in the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor role. The individual filling this position will lead a dedicated team, overseeing the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of housekeeping and laundry staff. This leadership ensures that daily operational goals are met without sacrificing quality or compliance with health and safety standards. A critical part of the role involves scheduling staff efficiently, taking into account census demands and labor budgets, thus balancing operational needs with financial responsibility.
Beyond team management, the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor will be responsible for managing inventory and supplies, ensuring that necessary materials are readily available to maintain departmental operations without exceeding budget constraints. The role requires active participation in maintaining cleanliness through performing and overseeing tasks such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and disinfecting throughout the facility. Additionally, routine inspections are conducted to monitor sanitation, infection control, and overall cleanliness compliance, highlighting the emphasis on safety and well-being.
A strong focus on training staff in safe and effective cleaning and laundry procedures ensures that all team members have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties competently. This training reinforces infection control protocols and long-term care sanitation standards, which are crucial in our healthcare-related environment. The Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor also supports daily operation logistics such as linen delivery, personal laundry services, and organized supply rooms, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted service delivery.
Candidates who excel in this role typically have prior experience in housekeeping or laundry services, ideally in healthcare settings, with proven supervisory or leadership skills. They communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate the ability to multitask with attention to detail and organization. A genuine care and compassion for elderly and disabled individuals is fundamental, aligning well with our mission to create a supportive and respectful environment for all residents.
We offer a full-time position with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, along with additional protections such as accident, short-term disability, cancer coverage, and more. Our commitment to professional growth is evident through tuition reimbursement opportunities, while paid time off and immediate 401(k) eligibility support work-life balance and retirement planning. Our corporate resources provide unwavering support to help you succeed in this rewarding leadership role.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where no discrimination or harassment is tolerated based on any legally protected characteristic.
