Situated in Ashland, Nebraska, this agency manages Eugene T. Mahoney State Park, a popular destination noted for its natural beauty, well-maintained facilities, and enjoyable activities. The park features a variety of lodging options, including 60 modern cabins and 40 lodge hotel-style rooms, that accommodate thousands of visitors annually. The role being offered is for a Housekeeping/Custodial Assistant at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park, with a hiring rate of $17.132 per hour. This position is fundamental to preserving the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the park’s lodging and restroom facilities. The Housekeeping/Custodial Assistant will be responsible for cleaning and preparing cabins and lodge rooms efficiently and meticulously, enabling the park to continuously provide a welcoming and high-quality environment for its guests. This role involves operational tasks such as maintenance of restrooms and shower areas, making beds, folding laundry, and stocking essential convenience items including soaps, towels, linens, paper products, and dishes.

Job Duties

  • Clean and prepare 60 modern cabins and 40 hotel-style lodge rooms for incoming guests
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restroom and shower facilities
  • make beds, fold laundry, and ensure rooms and cabins meet established cleanliness standards
  • safely use cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
  • ensure convenience items such as soaps, towels, linens, paper products, and dishes are fully stocked and properly arranged
  • work at a consistent and efficient pace while maintaining quality results
  • assist with inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest-use items
  • identify and report maintenance concerns or safety issues
  • support overall guest satisfaction through attention to detail and positive interactions
  • complete routine cleaning tasks as assigned
