The role available is a Night Housekeeper position within the FAC - EVS Wakefield Admin department. This is a full-time, hourly position with a pay rate starting at $25.13 per hour. The work shift is from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, covering 7.5 hours a day including alternate weekends. This role is crucial to maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the medical center premises, which includes medical and office areas, patient rooms, hallways, nursing stations, stairways, and other ancillary spaces.

As a Night Housekeeper at Montefiore Medical Center, you will be responsible for executing cleaning and maintenance tasks using specified techniques and chemicals to meet the Medical Center’s strict cleanliness standards. These duties involve cleaning patient rooms, preparing rooms for discharge by removing linen and non-clinical items, dusting and polishing furniture and equipment, and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures. You will also be tasked with managing trash disposal according to regulatory guidelines, maintaining the housekeeping supply closet, and properly recording specialty cleaning activities in areas such as operating rooms, catheterization labs, pharmacies, and endoscopy suites.

In addition to routine cleaning tasks, you may be called upon to assist in emergency situations such as floods or snow removal, ensuring timely support under critical circumstances. The position demands reliability and attention to detail, especially during the first two years, where weekend work is mandatory.
