Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety standards
- Physical ability to perform manual cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
Job Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning healthcare facilities or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices
- Experience with environmental services tasks such as floor care waste management and general sanitation
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Experience in hospital settings or specialized environmental services roles is a plus
Job Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across various areas including floors restrooms patient rooms offices and public spaces
- Use appropriate cleaning tools and supplies to ensure effective sanitation while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain environmental services standards by following established cleaning procedures and schedules
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping mopping buffing and carpet cleaning to preserve surface quality
- Ensure compliance with OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations to promote a safe working environment for all staff
- Assist with waste removal and proper disposal of trash in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Support hospital or facility-specific cleaning protocols to uphold health standards and prevent contamination
