We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Utility Worker to join our team at Eagle's Trace. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our community residents enjoy. The Housekeeping Utility Worker will be responsible for the upkeep of the community's common areas, residential apartments, and event spaces through tasks such as cleaning floors, walls, and other surfaces, upkeep of carpet and hard floors using specialized equipment, trash removal, and room setup for events. This position allows for on-campus living convenience and offers a competitive starting wage of $14.25 per hour, with compensation commensurate with experience. The work schedule includes Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

In this role, you will operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively to ensure every area remains spotless and inviting. Duties will also involve moving and arranging furniture within community spaces and residential apartments, delivering items for residents, and performing routine maintenance of housekeeping tools and vehicles. The position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to handle carpet care and floor finishing equipment. While previous experience in these techniques is preferred, we provide opportunities for training and growth.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday with specified hours
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and move heavy objects
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment
  • Ability to safely operate hard floor care equipment
  • Ability to safely operate trash removal equipment
  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred
  • May require CDL class B with air brake endorsement
  • Must have current and valid DOT Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning procedures

Job Duties

  • Maintain hard floor surfaces including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, buffing and waxing
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying and vacuuming
  • Clean vertical surfaces such as doors, walls, or windows
  • Remove trash including refuse and recycling following procedures utilizing compactors, trucks and carts
  • Move and arrange furniture in community common spaces, offices and residential apartments
  • Deliver residents items to and from storage, vehicles, apartments or other areas
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
