The Outlook at Windhaven is currently seeking a Housekeeping Technician to join their dedicated team. This role is vital in ensuring that the living environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, families, visitors, and staff. The position offers hourly compensation ranging from $16.00 to $17.50, with the final rate based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The Housekeeping Technician will play an essential part in the daily operations of The Outlook at Windhaven. The role involves maintaining disinfected and sanitized living spaces, including resident rooms and public areas, to help prevent infections and create a pleasant atmosphere. The individual will use proper cleaning tools and chemicals, assist with event setup and cleanup, manage laundry tasks when needed, and be proactive in identifying maintenance needs. Additionally, this role offers variety as it includes opportunities to assist multiple departments, handle minor repairs, and support overall community cleanliness.
The ideal candidate must be a team player with excellent communication skills, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently while prioritizing them effectively. A genuine caring attitude towards elderly individuals and persons with disabilities is essential. This role requires physical capability to perform tasks involving heights and the use of various household and floor care equipment. Compliance with safety procedures and respect for the Resident Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities are mandatory components of this position. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to read, write and communicate in English
- good communication skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- willingness to climb ladders and work at heights
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment
- physical capability to perform job duties
- commitment to safety and compliance with resident rights
- ability to work cooperatively with team

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- housekeeping experience, domestic or commercial, preferred (1 year)
- ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

- use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment to clean assigned areas
- assist with setup and cleanup of events and activities
- dust, clean, and sanitize resident rooms including deep cleaning and daily schedules
- clean and sanitize public restrooms
- clean nurses’ station
- inventory and restock supply cart daily
- maintain clean housekeeping closet
- report repair needs to supervisor
- work with other staff on major projects
- assist in laundry as needed
- prepare rooms for new admissions
- perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs
- assist laundry technicians as needed
- pull trash as needed
- assist other departments as needed
- perform other duties as assigned
