The role of Full Time Housekeeping Technician at Presbyterian Village North offers a vital opportunity to join a compassionate and service-oriented team. This full-time position requires open availability from Monday through Sunday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. The technician will be essential in maintaining a clean, disinfected, safe, and pleasant environment for residents, families, employees, and visitors by utilizing proper cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment. The job involves daily house cleaning tasks, including dusting, sanitizing resident rooms and public restrooms, managing supply carts, and supporting event setups and cleanups. Additional responsibilities include assisting in laundry duties, preparing rooms for new admissions, performing minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, and collaborating with other departments and staff on projects.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Willingness to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Ability to adapt to procedural changes
  • Knowledge of cleaning tools and equipment
  • Ability to perform essential duties

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Model a service attitude towards others and take ownership in solving problems
  • Be friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
  • Maintain a clean, disinfected, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents, families, employees, and visitors
  • Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment to clean assigned areas
  • Assist with set-up and clean-up of events and activities
  • Dust, clean and sanitize resident rooms including deep cleaning and daily clean schedules
  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms
  • Clean nurses' station
  • Inventory supply cart and restock on a daily basis
  • Maintain clean housekeeping closet at all times
  • Report repair needs to supervisor
  • Work with other staff on major projects
  • Work in laundry as needed
  • Make rooms ready for admissions
  • Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs if applicable
  • Assist laundry technicians and floor technicians as needed
  • Pull trash as needed
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
