The Housekeeping Associate at Gold's Gym plays a crucial role in maintaining this high standard of quality and care throughout the facility. This full-time position involves comprehensive cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to ensure all areas, including the gym floor, locker rooms, offices, and common spaces, remain spotless, hygienic, and inviting. The Housekeeping Associate performs a range of duties such as cleaning equipment, managing supplies, and supporting overall facility maintenance. The Housekeeping Associate must be detail-oriented, diligent, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Their responsibilities include cleaning glass surfaces, mirrors, and fitness equipment; emptying trash receptacles; sweeping, mopping, and buffing floors; sanitizing locker rooms and bathrooms; dusting furniture and fixtures; and maintaining cleaning tools and supplies in good condition. This position also involves timely reporting of maintenance and repair needs, ensuring the gym environment is always conducive to superior member satisfaction.

Candidates for the Housekeeping Associate role should have prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, with preference given to those with customer service experience or a background in hospitality or health clubs. Job Requirements

Minimum of three months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
three months customer service experience preferred
experience in hospitality or health clubs is a plus
high school diploma or GED preferred
ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
must be able to work as part of a professional and cohesive team
ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motions
ability to push and pull cleaning carts and equipment
exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet or slippery floors, humidity, and locker room environments
use of personal protective equipment as required

Job Duties

Clean outside glass and interior mirrors
wipe down equipment, doors, and floors as needed
empty trash receptacles daily
sweep and mop floors, stairwells, and staircases
clean carpets and hard-surface floors as needed
clean fitness equipment thoroughly
clean bathrooms including tiles, tubs, walls, sinks, and mirrors
dust furniture and fixtures daily
clean management offices daily
mop and sweep lobby floors
sweep, mop, remove trash, and dust locker rooms
clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, showers, and floors
refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
clean out lint and maintain general tidiness
buff locker and lobby room floors as needed
maintain and organize cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and vacuum cleaners
ensure equipment is kept in good condition and stored properly
clean vacuum cleaner bags or canisters daily
stock carts with linens and supplies according to training guidelines
pick up debris on carpets and perform vacuuming as needed
report maintenance or repair issues accurately and promptly
collaborate professionally with gym staff and management
