The Housekeeping Associate position at Gold's Gym is a pivotal role dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the entire facility, including the gym floor, locker rooms, offices, and common areas. This role is integral to delivering a welcoming and hygienic environment where members can comfortably pursue their fitness routines. The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring that every area meets the gym's rigorous standards of cleanliness. This includes regular cleaning of fitness equipment, restocking supplies in locker rooms, emptying trash receptacles, and managing cleaning tools and equipment. Given the physical nature of this role, the ability to lift heavy objects, use cleaning equipment proficiently, and adhere to safety guidelines is essential.

Additionally, the role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team dedicated to the gym’s operational excellence. Job Requirements

Minimum of three months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
three months customer service experience preferred
experience in hospitality or health clubs is a plus
high school diploma or GED preferred
ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
ability to work as part of a professional and cohesive team
ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motions
ability to push and pull cleaning carts and equipment
exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet or slippery floors, humidity, and locker room environments
use of personal protective equipment as required

Job Duties

Clean outside glass and interior mirrors
wipe down equipment, doors, and floors as needed
empty trash receptacles daily
sweep and mop floors, stairwells, and staircases
clean carpets and hard-surface floors as needed
clean fitness equipment thoroughly
clean bathrooms including tiles, tubs, walls, sinks, and mirrors
dust furniture and fixtures daily
clean management offices daily
mop and sweep lobby floors
sweep, mop, remove trash, and dust locker rooms
clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, showers, and floors
refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
clean out lint and maintain general tidiness
buff locker and lobby room floors as needed
maintain and organize cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and vacuum cleaners
ensure equipment is kept in good condition and stored properly
clean vacuum cleaner bags or canisters daily
stock carts with linens and supplies
pick up debris on carpets and perform vacuuming as needed
report maintenance or repair issues promptly
collaborate professionally with gym staff and management
