Job Description

San Diego KOA is an award-winning outdoor campground resort located in sunny southern California. Known for its picturesque environment and exceptional amenities, this family-friendly establishment offers camping in various accommodations such as RVs, cabins, deluxe cabins, and tents. With the unique advantage of being open 365 days a year due to the mild climate, San Diego KOA attracts diverse groups of campers—from families seeking fun and relaxation to outdoor enthusiasts wanting a memorable experience. The KOA brand is renowned for its commitment to quality and customer service, aiming to create lasting memories for guests through exceptional facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.

The San Diego KOA housekeeping team plays a vital role in this mission by maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of all guest accommodations and campground facilities. As part of the housekeeping team, employees are responsible for ensuring that every cabin, tent, or RV site is prepared to a high standard before guests arrive. This includes cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, making beds, restocking supplies, and maintaining the restrooms and common areas. The role demands attention to detail and a proactive approach to keeping the campground pristine at all times.

This seasonal position runs from May 1 to October 31, offering 15-25 hours per week depending on campground occupancy. Typical shifts are scheduled between 9 am and 5 pm, with availability required on Sundays. Employees earn $17 per hour and higher depending on experience. Working at San Diego KOA offers the chance to meet new people, work in a dynamic and fun environment, and contribute directly to guests' enjoyment and memorable outdoor experiences.

Team members are encouraged to communicate effectively with management and fellow staff, using tools like the Basecamp system, to ensure smooth operations and a positive environment for everyone. The role also involves proactive guest management and collaborating with the Guest Service staff to address any issues or special requests, reflecting the company’s commitment to excellent customer service. San Diego KOA values employees who take initiative and use creative problem-solving to enhance guest satisfaction and campground operations.

If you enjoy working outdoors in a lively setting, have a strong work ethic, and take pride in creating welcoming spaces, this position with San Diego KOA's housekeeping team could be an ideal fit. You will gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry while playing an essential part in supporting a family-oriented campground where visitors come to create cherished memories.
