This role is crucial to our daily hotel operations, as it directly impacts guest satisfaction by preparing guest rooms to consistently high standards, ensuring they are ready on time for check-in. The Part-Time Hotel Room Attendant role typically includes a shift starting at 9:00 AM and concluding upon completion of assigned rooms, generally around 4:30 PM. Weekend and holiday availability are required, and working hours may vary depending on hotel occupancy levels. Attendants will be responsible for comprehensive room preparation duties including making beds, changing linens to hotel standards, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, removing trash, and restocking guest supplies. Additionally, attendants contribute to operational performance by adhering to established cleaning time standards, following hotel procedures for cleanliness and quality, and maintaining productivity while ensuring all rooms meet guest readiness deadlines.
Support tasks such as handling laundry or linen management and maintaining housekeeping carts and supply areas are also part of this role. Communication responsibilities include promptly reporting any maintenance or safety concerns and accurately updating supervisors on room statuses. This role requires physical stamina to perform tasks requiring lifting of 25-30 pounds, sustained physical activity, and adherence to a structured cleaning process. Dependability, attention to detail, punctuality, and the ability to work independently while meeting productivity benchmarks are essential qualities we seek in our Housekeepers.
