The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in sustaining the high standards of sanitation and maintenance at Gold's Gym. This position is responsible for ensuring all areas within the facility—including the gym floor, locker rooms, offices, and common spaces—are thoroughly cleaned and well maintained. The associate performs a broad array of cleaning tasks, such as wiping down gym equipment, mopping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and sanitizing bathrooms. Additionally, this role involves organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment, assisting with restocking linens, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.

The Housekeeping Associate supports not only the operational functionality of Gold's Gym but also enhances the overall member experience by fostering cleanliness and orderliness. Job Requirements

minimum of three months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
high school diploma or GED preferred
ability to communicate clearly and concisely
strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to perform frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motions
ability to push or pull cleaning carts and equipment
willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends
ability to use personal protective equipment
exposure to cleaning chemicals and locker room environments

Job Qualifications

minimum of three months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
three months customer service experience preferred
experience in hospitality or health clubs is a plus
high school diploma or GED preferred
ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
must be able to work as part of a professional and cohesive team
ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

clean outside glass and interior mirrors
wipe down equipment, doors, and floors as needed
empty trash receptacles daily
sweep and mop floors, stairwells, and staircases
clean carpets and hard-surface floors as needed
clean fitness equipment thoroughly
clean bathrooms, including tiles, tubs, walls, sinks, and mirrors
dust furniture and fixtures daily
clean management offices daily
mop and sweep lobby floors
sweep, mop, remove trash, and dust locker rooms
clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, showers, and floors
refill soap, paper towels, toilet paper
clean out lint and maintain general tidiness
buff locker and lobby room floors as needed
maintain and organize cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and vacuum cleaners
ensure equipment is kept in good condition and stored properly
clean vacuum cleaner bags or canisters daily
stock carts with linens and supplies, keeping them organized according to training guidelines
pick up debris on carpets and perform vacuuming as needed
report maintenance or repair issues accurately and promptly
collaborate professionally with gym staff and management
