The Housekeeping Team Lead role at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is a pivotal position within the hospitality team, responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can inspire and manage a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants dedicated to delivering impeccable service to guests. The Housekeeping Team Lead is instrumental in maintaining the seamless daily operations of the housekeeping department by monitoring staff performance, training new team members, and ensuring all tasks are completed to Four Seasons’ exacting standards.

As a leader, the Housekeeping Team Lead combines operational oversight with hands-on support, stepping in to assist in guest requests such as additional amenities or special requirements. This role also oversees the upkeep and organization of linen rooms and equipment, ensuring that everything is clean, fully stocked, and well maintained. Job Requirements

  • Fluent in English both verbal and written
  • Knowledge and ability to operate various electronic systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience in housekeeping or hospitality industry preferred
  • Ability to manage and coach a team effectively
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid work authorization for the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Inspect the work of room attendants and house attendants responsible for cleaning and upkeep of assigned hotel areas
  • Train and coach housekeeping staff
  • Monitor daily progress and inspect completed rooms to ensure standards are met
  • Coordinate and follow up on work orders in the assigned section
  • Inspect VIP and special attention rooms to ensure all requests and amenities are completed
  • Respond to guest requests such as extra pillows and blankets
  • Maintain linen rooms to be tidy, correctly stocked, and closed when not in use
  • Ensure that working equipment is clean, tidy, and in good working order
