Our Tierra Verde Residence Inn in the St. Petersburg area is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This 90-room hotel not only offers comfortable accommodations but also features more than 875 square feet of event space suitable for corporate and social gatherings. One of the hotel's unique attractions is Vista at the Top, a rooftop bar and restaurant that boasts spectacular panoramic waterfront views, enhancing the guest experience. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining high cleanliness and operational standards throughout the property to ensure guest satisfaction.
The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is multifaceted and essential to the overall operation of the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring compliance with all company, hotel, and franchise policies and procedures. They will lead by example to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all assigned areas. A key part of the job involves managing and training team members, ensuring that all required training is completed according to standards, which helps foster a motivated and skilled housekeeping team. The Housekeeping Supervisor must be flexible with their work schedule and be available to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed to support the hotel's operations.

Job Requirements
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
- Prior housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests management and co-workers
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques chemical handling requirements and use of equipment
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests management and co-workers to their understanding
- High school graduate or equivalent some college preferred
- Bilingual English Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques chemical handling requirements and use of equipment
Job Duties
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
- Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the housekeeping department
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all Shaner Hotels franchise and hotel departmental policies and procedures ensuring that housekeeping team is informed
- Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- Train and develop team members and ensure all required training is complete according to standards
- Review the daily business levels anticipate critical situations and plan effective solutions to best expedite these situations
- Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned areas
- Perform housekeeping laundry and houseperson functions whenever necessary
- Other duties as assigned
