The Fairfield Inn RDU / Brier Creek, part of the CMC Hotels portfolio, is currently seeking a dynamic and engaging individual to join their Senior Management Team as the Housekeeping Supervisor. This pivotal role entails managing and directing all back-of-house operations with a key focus on coordination between the housekeeping and maintenance departments. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays an essential leadership role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service within the hotel. They oversee the entire housekeeping team, coaching and training staff members to ensure that all cleanliness procedures adhere strictly to franchise and departmental standards. This position demands an individual who is not only highly organized and detail-oriented but also possesses strong leadership capabilities to promote teamwork and maintain a positive work culture.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for conducting daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas, supervising quality control inspectors, guest room attendants, porters, and laundry attendants. A critical part of this role includes managing inventory and supplies, maintaining labor budgets, and preparing detailed weekly and monthly performance reports for management review. The supervisor also takes charge of scheduling daily team huddles and regular employee meetings to foster communication, enhance employee morale, and ensure operational excellence.

In addition to operational duties, the Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to handle guest queries and requests with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a pleasant and satisfying guest experience. The role requires physical stamina, as it involves the ability to reach, kneel, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift loads typically up to 40 pounds. Candidates should demonstrate a minimum of two years of prior housekeeping management experience and preferably possess an associate's degree or equivalent related work experience.

Job Duties

  • Manage and direct back of house operations, coordinating between the housekeeping and maintenance departments

  • Conduct daily inspections of all guest rooms and public spaces
  • Supervise, coach, and train housekeeping department including quality control inspectors, guest room attendants, porter, and laundry attendants
  • Promote teamwork and employee morale
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed regarding life safety and room cleanliness
  • Order and maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures
  • Schedule and maintain labor budgets
  • Promptly handle all guest queries and requests in a pleasant manner
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly and monthly employee meetings
