We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This position is integral to ensuring that all housekeeping staff meet brand and hotel guest service standards while supporting HHM’s sustainability initiatives, specifically the EarthView program. The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead, train, and support housekeeping associates, facilitate efficient and effective cleaning practices, and manage schedules and supplies to meet occupancy demands. The role offers a competitive wage of $22.00 to $24.00 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will also be tasked with supervising laundry employees if applicable, monitoring staff performance and behavior, collaborating with external vendors for training and staffing, and contributing to overall guest satisfaction by maintaining high cleanliness standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, sometimes assisting with cleaning duties or breakfast area support as needed. Safety and adherence to OSHA standards and MSDS guidelines are paramount.
This position offers a growth path leading from Executive Housekeeper to Front Office Manager, Assistant General Manager, and eventually General Manager, providing multiple opportunities for advancement within HHM. Job Duties
- Supervise housekeeping staff ensuring brand and hotel guest service and sustainability standards are met
- Train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring compliance with established standards and HHM core values
- Screen job applicants and hire new employees when applicable
- Train staff to clean rooms efficiently or collaborate with vendors for proper training
- Monitor and communicate guest service scores to improve satisfaction
- Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates
- Occasionally assist staff with cleaning rooms
- Address associate performance and behavior issues directly or through vendors
- Supervise laundry employees if applicable
- Prepare staffing schedules based on occupancy forecasts
- Implement sustainability guidelines per HHM's EarthView program
- Practice and enforce safe work habits and use of protective equipment
- Assist in the breakfast area as needed
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform additional duties as requested by management
