This position is for a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Fairfield Inn Vacaville, located at 370 Orange Drive, Vacaville, CA 95687. The role is hourly paid, with wages ranging from $17 to $18 per hour. The Housekeeping Supervisor will coordinate and manage housekeeping operations within assigned sections and stand in for the Housekeeping Manager when necessary. A vital part of this role is ensuring that the daily performance and productivity of Room Attendants meet the company’s high standards. The Supervisor is expected to conduct inspections, oversee room readiness, maintain key control, and handle lost and found procedures. The role also involves close collaboration with front office teams and engineering to maintain quality and respond promptly to maintenance needs. Training new staff, managing cleaning projects, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction are also core responsibilities. Candidates are expected to have a high school diploma or equivalent, ideally supplemented by college coursework in a related field, along with two to three years of progressive hotel experience including supervisory roles. Strong communication and customer service skills are critical to successfully fulfill the duties of this position. This role offers a hands-on management experience in a well-established hospitality environment dedicated to quality guest service and operational excellence.

Job Duties

  • Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance within assigned section daily to ensure standards and productivity levels
  • Inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office in absence of Housekeeping Manager
  • Oversee closing of floors ensuring Room Attendants’ carts are clean and restocked
  • Ensure completion and submission of daily assignments records on time
  • Maintain key control and handle lost and found items according to standards
  • Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings
  • Oversee daily assignment of duties to Room and House Attendants
  • Maintain communication with Front Office and Engineering via pager/radio
  • Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager
  • Initiate and follow through work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist in training Housekeeping staff
  • Clean rooms as needed
  • Ensure completion of biannual cleaning projects
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
