At Appellation, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and luxury hospitality. Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper, this supervisory position is responsible for leading daily housekeeping operations, coaching and developing the housekeeping team, and ensuring that every guest room, public space, and employee area reflects Appellation's commitment to excellence. This hands-on leadership role demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to foster a positive, team-oriented culture based on accountability and genuine hospitality.
The Housekeeping Supervisor leads by example, assisting with scheduling, performance coaching, and training new team members. They also handle recruitment and interviewing, monitor inventory levels, oversee Lost & Found procedures, and ensure compliance with safety standards, including chemical handling protocols. This role requires responding promptly and professionally to guest requests and service recovery opportunities, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience. Additionally, the supervisor performs daily inspections and identifies maintenance needs, working collaboratively with other departments to address any issues.

- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment
- prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Job Duties
- Supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper
- lead, coach, and motivate housekeeping team members to deliver exceptional service and maintain luxury hospitality standards
- inspect guest rooms, public spaces, employee areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with brand standards
- assist with scheduling, performance coaching, training, and onboarding of new housekeeping associates
- help recruit and interview new team members
- respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service recovery opportunities
- oversee Lost & Found procedures and department documentation
- monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering housekeeping supplies and equipment
- ensure compliance with safety standards, chemical handling procedures, and company policies
- identify maintenance issues and communicate repair needs to the appropriate departments
- maintain accurate daily reports and department records
- work alongside the housekeeping team by cleaning guest rooms and public areas as needed to support business demands
- foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment that reflects Appellation's values
