The Housekeeping Supervisor role at DoubleTree by Hilton Tallahassee is a highly responsible position within the hospitality industry that focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, guest service, and operational efficiency in the hotel. This role is instrumental in ensuring that every guest has a positive experience by fostering a welcoming and spotless environment throughout the property. The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily housekeeping activities including guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry areas, leading the housekeeping team in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills as the supervisor manages guest requests, verifies room cleanliness, and maintains inventory control of cleaning supplies and linens. Job Requirements
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must have a desire to serve all guests
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift
- Must clock in/out for breaks at designated times
- Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift
Job Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality or consumer-facing service preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn

Job Duties
- Greet guests happily and use their names to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Handle guest satisfaction issues and recover from challenging situations with a sense of urgency
- Maintain spotless cleanliness in all guest rooms, public spaces, and work areas
- Manage and assign daily checklists ensuring 100% accuracy
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings and supervise the housekeeping team
- Review and manage guest request logs proactively
- Monitor VIP guests and coordinate special requests
- Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards
- Maintain inventory and order housekeeping supplies and amenities
- Remove trash, replace linen, and conduct deep cleaning as needed
- Submit and follow up on maintenance requests
- Ensure compliance with OSHA chemical safety standards
- Manage lost and found procedures and department key control
- Conduct departmental meetings in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper
