The role of Housekeeping Supervisor is a vital supervisory position within the Housekeeping department. The supervisor will be responsible for managing staff assignments, conducting inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, and maintaining inventory and cleanliness of housekeeping supplies. Job Requirements
- minimum of 3 years experience as room attendant
- knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and equipment use
- knowledge of proper and safe chemical handling
- ability to communicate satisfactorily in English
- ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and cooperativeness
- ability to maintain hotel standards, policies and procedures

Job Duties
- Verify room status on AM report
- report discrepant rooms
- prioritize and update status of check-out rooms
- distribute assignment sheets, room keys and beepers to designated staff
- maintain accurate records of assignments for security
- communicate additions or changes to assignment sheets during shifts
- inspect supply levels, cleanliness, and organization of floor closets
- assign staff to address supply or cleanliness issues
- check room attendants’ closets for proper supplies and cleanliness
- inspect rooms cleaned by assigned attendants using checklists
- follow up with necessary corrections
- check vacant and DND rooms for status updates
- mark dirty sheets of assigned rooms and ensure attendants change them
- inspect public areas, restrooms, meeting and office spaces for cleanliness
- complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to housekeeping
- contact engineering for urgent repairs
- accommodate guest requests for housekeeping items or supplies
- monitor and handle guest complaints
- provide staff performance feedback
- report disciplinary issues
- document information in departmental log book
- complete paperwork and closing duties
- review status of assignments and follow-up actions
- check PM reports for accuracy
- complete night counts
- assist in other housekeeping areas
- attend meetings
- make up cribs and rollaway beds
