The role of Housekeeping Supervisor at Palette Hotels is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness, quality, and safety standards of guest rooms, public areas, pools, and other hotel facilities. Occupying this supervisory position, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for meticulous inspection of cleaned areas to ensure compliance with the hotel’s quality standards. This role requires running sold room reports, verifying room statuses, identifying any discrepancies, prioritizing cleaning schedules, and updating the status of rooms especially those of departing guests. Acting as a critical liaison, the Housekeeping Supervisor coordinates efforts between housekeeping, engineering, front office, and laundry departments to ensure seamless operational efficiency.

Assisting housekeeping management, the supervisor contributes to overseeing daily activities, documenting and resolving room-related issues, preparing and communicating assignment changes, and ensuring smooth handovers between shifts. This position also involves supporting management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating staff members, fostering a productive and positive working environment. The ideal candidate for this role demonstrates excellent communication skills, a service-oriented approach, and a thorough understanding of safety and chemical use procedures. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is a must. Job Duties

  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after cleaning to ensure quality standards
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update departing room status
  • Assist housekeeping management in daily activities
  • Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with Front Desk
  • Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets/work boards
  • Communicate issues to the next shift
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
