Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years related experience in hospitality or service industry
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to write reports and correspondences
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to use computer programs such as Excel, Word, and property management systems
- Ability to access and interpret data for problem-solving
- Ability to perform supervisory duties responsibly
- Physical ability to inspect rooms and work areas
- Commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- Two years related experience in hospitality or service industry
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), college degree preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to speak effectively in the primary workplace language
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Ability to understand property management systems
- Ability to apply math concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebra
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish and English)
Job Duties
- Inspect guest rooms, guest areas, employee areas, and assess compliance with cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security standards
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Plan, assign, and direct housekeeping work
- Appraise performance and address employee complaints and problems
- Assist Executive Housekeeper with scheduling according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy
- Implement departmental objectives, budgets, policies, and procedures
- Oversee inventory management and ensure compliance with health and fire regulations
- Maintain communication with staff, departments, and upper management to ensure operational needs are met
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas
- Attend relevant meetings
- Verify completion of housekeeping tasks at the end of the day
- Work with guests on lost and found items
