Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years housekeeping experience including supervisory training
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
  • Capable of frequently standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
  • Ability to safely use commercial cleaning chemicals
  • Capable of carrying, lifting, or pulling items up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Open availability
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Team oriented and self-driven
  • Prior housekeeping supervisor or management experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years housekeeping experience including some supervisory training
  • Previous background in extended stay industry preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
  • Other languages beneficial
  • Reading and writing abilities required for documentation and ordering supplies
  • Mathematical skills including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Team oriented and self-driven
  • Prior housekeeping supervisor or management experience

Job Duties

  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in interactions with guests and clients
  • Manage according to Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards and instill passion for customer service in hotel associates
  • Partner with the Housekeeping Manager to recruit, develop, manage, and monitor performance
  • Inspect assigned suites and public areas to ensure cleanliness and repair standards are met
  • Advise employees of deficiencies and provide retraining as needed
  • Assist with training employees and ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment
  • Assist with scheduling and room cleaning assignments
  • Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning guest suites and public areas
  • Partner to inventory and maintain par levels for linen and room supplies
  • Monitor commercial laundry supplies and equipment
  • Manage process of lost and found items
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other shifts and management
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned
