Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years housekeeping experience including supervisory training
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Capable of frequently standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
- Ability to safely use commercial cleaning chemicals
- Capable of carrying, lifting, or pulling items up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Open availability
- Bilingual is a plus
- Team oriented and self-driven
- Prior housekeeping supervisor or management experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years housekeeping experience including some supervisory training
- Previous background in extended stay industry preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Other languages beneficial
- Reading and writing abilities required for documentation and ordering supplies
- Mathematical skills including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
- Team oriented and self-driven
- Prior housekeeping supervisor or management experience
Job Duties
- Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in interactions with guests and clients
- Manage according to Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards and instill passion for customer service in hotel associates
- Partner with the Housekeeping Manager to recruit, develop, manage, and monitor performance
- Inspect assigned suites and public areas to ensure cleanliness and repair standards are met
- Advise employees of deficiencies and provide retraining as needed
- Assist with training employees and ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment
- Assist with scheduling and room cleaning assignments
- Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning guest suites and public areas
- Partner to inventory and maintain par levels for linen and room supplies
- Monitor commercial laundry supplies and equipment
- Manage process of lost and found items
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other shifts and management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
