Job Description

The Courtyard by Marriott Tallahassee Downtown/Capitol is a prominent hotel located in the heart of Tallahassee, Florida. As part of the globally recognized Marriott International portfolio, Courtyard has a rich heritage of serving the needs of travelers with a focus on business guests. Marriott International is known worldwide for its commitment to quality, guest satisfaction, and employee development. The company fosters an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated, and all employees are given equal opportunities to succeed and grow. At Courtyard Tallahassee Downtown/Capitol, the team is passionate about creating a unique experience that empowers guests during their trips, whether for business or leisure. The location offers a welcoming environment where associates are valued not only for their talents but also for the diversity they bring to the organization.

The role being offered is a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor position at the Courtyard by Marriott Tallahassee Downtown/Capitol. This non-management role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality across guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities like the pool. The position offers an hourly wage of $19.00 and requires weekend and holiday availability, reflecting the hospitality industry's dynamic nature. The Housekeeping Supervisor acts as a pivotal link between housekeeping staff, engineering, the front office, and laundry services to streamline daily operations and maintain an exceptional guest experience.

In this role, the Housekeeping Supervisor’s key responsibility is to inspect rooms and common areas after they have been cleaned to ensure they meet Marriott's quality standards. They are tasked with running reports related to room status, prioritizing cleaning schedules, and resolving any discrepancies that might arise in collaboration with front desk staff. The position also includes assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating housekeeping team members, which makes it partially supervisory. This opportunity is ideal for someone with at least one year of supervisory experience and a background in housekeeping or a related field.

The supervisor also enforces safety policies, monitors employee appearance, maintains confidentiality, and handles guest interactions with professionalism and courtesy. Physical demands of the job include lifting and moving objects, maneuvering housekeeping carts, and being active throughout the entire work shift. This role suits candidates who are motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a team focused on superior guest service. Joining Courtyard by Marriott means becoming part of a supportive global team where you can grow your career while contributing to a customer-obsessed work culture.
