The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor at the Colorado Convention Center is vital for maintaining the facility's cleanliness and overall presentation. The Housekeeping Supervisor will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Manager to plan personnel coverage for events, manage scheduling, and oversee daily operations. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a competitive pay rate between $32.00 and $33.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years janitorial or custodial experience
  • Two years supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to speak, understand, and read English
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Ability to multitask
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Two years janitorial or custodial experience
  • Two years supervisory experience in a union environment preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required, some college coursework helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Work with Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Manager to determine personnel needs for event coverage and scheduling
  • Maintain records, logbooks, sign-in/sign-out sheets, and accident reports
  • Assign work areas to housekeeping staff and oversee cleaning
  • Inspect work areas after cleaning to ensure standards are met
  • Supervise housekeeping tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor mopping and waxing, sweeping, and trash removal
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new employees on equipment, cleaning methods, and safety
  • Monitor supplies and assist with re-ordering
  • Control housekeeping equipment with accurate logs and check-out sheets
  • Conduct facility inspections and report special cleaning projects
  • Provide documentation for personnel actions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
