The role is that of a Supervisory Housekeeper, critical to the hotel's commitment to cleanliness, orderliness, and guest satisfaction. This position involves directing the institutional housekeeping program either personally or through subordinate supervisors to ensure that all guest rooms, corridors, and public areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The Supervisory Housekeeper plays a pivotal role in maintaining the hotel's image by overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations, guaranteeing that all activities align with hotel policies and industry standards.
Specific responsibilities include assigning rooms to housekeeping staff, training employees, and monitoring daily performance to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The role demands consistent inventory management, understanding par levels, and ensuring timely replenishment of supplies including linens and cleaning materials. The Supervisory Housekeeper is also responsible for maintaining the security of lost and found items and reporting any damages or maintenance issues promptly to management. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as this role requires providing prompt and courteous guest service, coordinating with other departments, and addressing guest complaints when necessary. This position requires a candidate willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to meet operational demands.

Job Duties
- Supervise housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure quality standards are met
- ensure department operates in accordance with hotel standards and procedures
- provide prompt, courteous, and professional guest service
- assign rooms to housekeeping staff, instruct, delegate, and control responsibilities
- assist with training of employees and ensure they have necessary tools and equipment
- maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness in all rooms, corridors, and public areas
- inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and repair
- oversee ordering, delivery, count, and storage of linens, bathroom items, equipment, and cleaning materials
- report fouling, breakages, or decommissions caused by guests to the duty manager
- notify management of housekeeping staff needs, materials, equipment, and supply levels
- maintain security procedures for lost and found items
- maximize resource use and control costs
- identify training needs and recommend training requirements
- respond to guest complaints, special requests, and repairs
- promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other departments
