Job Requirements

  • Customer service experience in any service establishment
  • ability to speak English fluently
  • medically fit and in overall good general health
  • ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • ability to pull and push up to 150 pounds
  • frequent standing and moving about the facility
  • frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
  • frequent handling of objects and equipment
  • willingness to work weekends and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervise housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure quality standards are met
  • ensure department operates in accordance with hotel standards and procedures
  • provide prompt, courteous, and professional guest service
  • assign rooms to housekeeping staff, instruct, delegate, and control responsibilities
  • assist with training of employees and ensure they have necessary tools and equipment
  • maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness in all rooms, corridors, and public areas
  • inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and repair
  • oversee ordering, delivery, count, and storage of linens, bathroom items, equipment, and cleaning materials
  • report fouling, breakages, or decommissions caused by guests to the duty manager
  • notify management of housekeeping staff needs, materials, equipment, and supply levels
  • maintain security procedures for lost and found items
  • maximize resource use and control costs
  • identify training needs and recommend training requirements
  • respond to guest complaints, special requests, and repairs
  • promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other departments
  • assist with other duties as assigned
