The supervisor plays a key role in training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates while monitoring their performance to uphold hotel standards aligned with HHM’s core values. This leadership position requires working closely with both in-house employees and external vendors, ensuring that all aspects of housekeeping run smoothly and efficiently.\n\nFurthermore, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for screening and hiring new employees, training staff in effective cleaning techniques, and managing the issuance of cleaning supplies and equipment. Occasionally, they will also assist with cleaning duties to support the team during peak times. The role demands a focus on guest satisfaction, which includes being aware of guest service scores and driving improvements to enhance overall experience. Additionally, supervising laundry employees and preparing work schedules based on anticipated occupancy are critical functions of this role.\n\nSafety is a top priority, with the supervisor expected to enforce safe work habits, including adherence to OSHA standards and the use of protective equipment. Job Duties
- Train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and HHM core values
- Screen job applicants and hire new employees if housekeeping associates are HHM employees
- Train staff to clean rooms efficiently according to established standards or partner with external vendors for proper training
- Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
- Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates
- Occasionally clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms
- Address associate performance and behavior concerns through direct intervention or vendor management
- Supervise laundry employees if applicable
- Prepare work schedules for HHM associates or provide vendors with anticipated occupancy to ensure proper staffing
- Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment following MSDS and OSHA standards
- Assist in the breakfast area as needed
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
