Job Requirements

  • ability to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to kneel, bend, stretch, twist, and reach
  • willing to work long hours when necessary
  • fluency in English in reading, writing, and speaking
  • prior experience in supervisory roles preferred
  • must be able to multitask
  • knowledge of housekeeping tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • three years of progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • prior supervisory experience preferred
  • proficiency with housekeeping equipment and tools
  • good communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

Job Duties

  • be a role model by assisting managers and team with training, coaching, cleaning, inspecting
  • be a details person by monitoring hotel cleanliness and providing suggestions for improvement
  • schedule housekeeping staff to meet business and guest needs
  • ensure safety compliance and train team according to OSHA guidelines
  • monitor supplies and control expenses within the department
  • coordinate with maintenance and security on safety issues
  • communicate effectively with team and management
