Job Description

This opportunity is with a well-established hotel known for its commitment to excellence in hospitality and guest services. The hotel operates a comprehensive housekeeping department dedicated to maintaining impeccable standards across all guest rooms, suites, corridors, public areas, and back-of-the-house storage spaces. With a reputation for high-quality service and guest satisfaction, this hotel seeks a motivated and experienced individual to support the housekeeping department. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all areas under the housekeeping umbrella—including room attendants, floor supervisors, and linen room supervisors—perform at their best to deliver exceptional cleanliness and comfort to every guest.

The position involves overseeing multiple segments within the housekeeping department, stepping in to operate the department in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping, and working closely with other service departments to maintain a superior level of operational excellence. Key responsibilities include supervising various teams, conducting regular inspections, managing inventories, preparing reports, auditing payrolls, and responding promptly to guest concerns. This role calls for a leader who can uphold the hotel’s stringent cleanliness standards and foster a professional environment that encourages team development and effective communication. The job also requires a hands-on approach to training new staff, controlling labor, and ensuring all daily assignments are completed efficiently.

This is a full-time role that demands flexibility, including willingness to work weekends and holidays. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess a strong work ethic. Physical stamina is essential as the role requires standing and moving for extended periods, handling inventory, and possibly lifting and pushing equipment. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality leadership and ready to contribute to a team-oriented and guest-focused workplace environment. Prior experience in housekeeping within the hotel industry would be highly beneficial. Although no formal education is required, the ability to read instructions, communicate effectively in a common language, and basic computer skills will aid success in this position.
