This position is for a Housekeeping Supervisor within the hotel division of Mohegan Sun. The role is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction expected from such a prestigious establishment. This supervisory position entails overseeing housekeeping staff to ensure that guest rooms and public areas meet strict quality criteria. The supervisor will be responsible for inspecting rooms, evaluating physical conditions, submitting maintenance recommendations, and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment. Training new employees, coaching staff for optimal performance, and resolving guest and employee issues form crucial aspects of this role. Job Requirements
- One year experience in hotel housekeeping supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written English
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to bend, reach above shoulders, kneel, twist and grip items
- Must be able to push and pull cleaning equipment
- Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, holidays and flexible hours
- Must be able to stand during entire shift and have the ability to lift up to forty pounds
Job Qualifications
- One year experience in hotel housekeeping supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written English
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- Proven ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company and department policies
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition and appearance of guest rooms and public areas
- Submit to management recommendations for maintenance-related issues
- Inventory supplies and equipment
