Job Requirements
- three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- prior supervisory experience preferred
- effective use of housekeeping equipment and tools
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- capacity to stand for long periods and walk long distances
- physical ability to kneel, bend, stretch, twist or reach as necessary
- ability to work under variable temperature and noise conditions
- long hours sometimes required
- ability to multitask
- strong communication skills with fluency in English
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- minimum of three years progressive housekeeping experience in a hotel or related field
- prior supervisory experience preferred
- strong knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning techniques
- excellent communication skills with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- ability to train and lead a team effectively
- good organizational and scheduling abilities
Job Duties
- supervise housekeeping staff and assist with training new hires
- inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards
- create and manage staff schedules based on business needs and employee availability
- monitor and control housekeeping supplies and expenses to meet budget goals
- enforce safety regulations and OSHA guidelines among team members
- coordinate with maintenance and security for any repair or safety issues
- provide coaching and feedback to housekeeping employees to improve performance
