ELS is currently hiring for the position of Housekeeping Supervisor at its Emerald Isle, North Carolina location. This is a seasonal position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the property. The Housekeeping Supervisor works closely with the maintenance staff to ensure the property meets the company’s quality standards and provides an inviting environment for residents and visitors alike.

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads and supervises the housekeeping staff, overseeing daily cleaning operations, inspecting common areas, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. This position involves interviewing candidates, training new employees, and conducting performance reviews. The Supervisor is responsible for making disciplinary recommendations in coordination with the Property Manager and Human Resources. Additionally, this role requires direct participation in cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal, ensuring internal locations and common areas reflect the highest standards of cleanliness.

Other responsibilities include monitoring the inventory of cleaning supplies, reporting maintenance issues to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, assisting with customer inquiries professionally and promptly, and supporting cleanup after property functions. The Housekeeping Supervisor also assists other staff members as needed and handles errands such as driving to pick up supplies. This position requires a strong organizational skill set, attention to detail, and the ability to address problems and conflicts effectively.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in a housekeeping role, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and products. A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance are mandatory. The physical aspect of the role requires the ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

  • Interview candidates and train new employees

  • make disciplinary action and termination recommendations in conjunction with the Property Manager and the Human Resources
