Currently, the Treasure Valley Family YMCA is seeking a Full-Time Multi-Branch Housekeeping Staff member to join their Association. This unique role is designed to provide comprehensive cleaning and maintenance support across multiple Y branches, ensuring that all facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained for members, participants, and staff alike. The successful candidate will be trained across six different facilities and expected to travel between locations as part of their daily responsibilities. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $15 and includes a generous benefits package for qualifying employees. The schedule involves 40 hours weekly with shifting locations and hours, requiring flexibility and the willingness to work at any branch and shift as needed.
In this role, the Housekeeping Staff member plays a vital part in sustaining the welcoming, safe, and hygienic environment that the YMCA is known for. They will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas of the facility according to established standards and checklists while adhering to safety protocols. Duties include replenishing supplies, setting up before and tearing down after special events, and conducting routine maintenance such as laundry and restroom upkeep. Additionally, the employee will engage with members in a friendly and professional manner, helping to foster positive relationships and a sense of community within the branches. The ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergency or safety situations is essential. Overall, this position requires a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work flexible shifts and locations
- Must be able to travel between multiple branches
- Ability to perform physical tasks including cleaning, lifting, and moving supplies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 6 months or more of related experience preferred
- Ability to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others
Job Duties
- Create a safe environment for members, participants, and staff by cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas to meet standards of cleanliness in accordance with cleaning checklists and safety measures
- Replenish products and supplies as needed
- Develop intentional relationships and engage with members
- Set up before and tear down after special events
- Record and report necessary repairs and complete repairs if directed
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of the facility and overall attractiveness of the branch by completing duties according to checklist or as assigned
- Perform routine locker room and restroom cleaning, stocking, and maintenance
- Operate laundry equipment including loading, unloading, folding, and stacking laundry
